REGURGITATOR is now joined by Butterfingers, Custard & Diana Anaid for Lismore’s flood benefit on JUN 17.
Rock The Rivers has today announced the final lineup for the flood benefit in Lismore. Butterfingers, Custard and Diana Anaid will join Regurgitator, A Somerset Parade, Satellites, Valhalla Lights, Galaxy Girls, Noah and The Sweet Little Army (previously announced as Kitty Ellen; she will now be joined by her full band).
Following an overwhelming response to a call out for local bands, culminating in an online public vote from three shortlisted bands, Baltimore Gun Club was chosen to complete the local lineup. Event organiser Peter Hart said despite an unsuccessful campaign to get Grinspoon on board, he was happy with the diversity of the final lineup.
“We did approach Grinspoon to headline, and ran an online campaign in an attempt to convince them, but to no avail. We have however managed to pull together an impressive and eclectic mix of Aus music veterans and up and coming acts from all over the East Coast, with a variety of styles from folk to electro to rock to punk. The love for the Northern Rivers has been palpable, and we can’t thank those participating enough for sharing it with us.”
Diana Anaid said: “Lismore is the heart of a creative Northern Rivers; it is my home, my inspiration and my sanctuary. These recent floods broke my heart. I am honoured to be a part of this fundraiser.”
Custard said: “We are really looking forward to playing the Rock The Rivers concert and we’re just glad to have the opportunity to help raise money for people who have lost so much in the recent floods.”
