Regurgitator to headline Toowoomba’s First Coat, Street Art & Music Festival, 2015
Regurgitator recover from indefinite hiatus to headline Queensland street art festival in Toowoomba.
REGURGITATOR take a break from having a break to announce a performance on May 16 as headliners for Queensland’s only Street Art Festival in May this year.
Confirmed to play the official launch party for First Coat Street Art and Music Festival in Toowoomba, the iconic Brisbane duo surprised festival organisers with their response.
“After the success of last year’s festival, we wanted to up the ante with a really sweet, national live music lineup,” Ashleigh Campbell, music coordinator for First Coat said.
“I wanted to program an iconic Australian act that blurred the line between art and music, Regurgitator was on the top of the hit list so I called long-term manager Paul Curtis and explained the First Coat philosophy and what we were wanting to create.
“I was stoked when he called back to say the band were keen to be involved.”
The event marks Regurgitator’s first show in close to two years as they join a solid lineup including L-FRESH the Lion plus street artists Madsteez from California, Does of the Netherlands and over 30 of Australia’s most respected public artists including Shida, Numskull and Gimiks Born.
First Coat Street Art and Music Festival takes place in Toowoomba’s CBD, a regional city 90 minutes west of Brisbane from May 16 to May 18, 2015.
